for whole wheat use hot milk, or white use cold
3 C Milk
1 C shortening
1/3 C sugar
2 eggs slightly beaten
2 yeast packages
1 C water
2 tsp sugar
put milk on to scald, meanwhile put the yeast into the water sugar mixture to proof. When milk is scalded add the sugar and shortening and cool for white, begin mixing wheat. Add 3-4 C white/wheat and mix. Add beaten eggs to flour milk mixture and mix. Along with yeast mixture add 6 C of flour. Mix on low for 10 min. Cover with a damp cloth and let double in size. Punch the dough down, shape into pan sizes (3 loafs) and let double in size again. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 min then lower heat to 350 for and additional 30 min.
