this is a Pioneer Recipe that my mom made and served with radishes and green onions on a Sunday night. It is an unusual dish but my sisters and I all love it. We tried introducing it to our children, but it was a failure for them. Thanks to Jolene for keeping this recipe.
2 C milk scalded with 1 Tbsp butter
1/4 tsp salt
pepper to taste
Beat 1 egg and pour into the 1/2 C flour mixed with 1/8 tsp salt, stirring to create lumps
Break up into lumps to cook into hot milk mixture. When all flour mixture has been added, cover and simmer on low heat to allow to thicken. Serve in bowls, pouring milk over and serving with radishes and onions with salt to dip them into.
