Fresh Tomato Salsa

2-3 medium sized fresh tomatoes

1/2 red onion

2 serano chiles or 1 jalapeno chili (stems, ribs and seeds removed)

Juice of one lime

1/2 C chopped cilantro

Salt and pepper to taste

Pinch dried oregano or more to taste

Pinch ground cumin pr tp taste

Roughly chop the tomatoes, chiles, on onion

Place all ingredients in the bowl of a food processor fitted with the blade. Pulse only a few times, just enough to finely dice the ingredients.

add seasoning and adjust to taste.

Let salsa sit for an hour at room temperature or chilled for the flavors to combine.

Serv with chips, tortillas, tacos, burritos, tostados etc
